"CSI Miami" bonus on web
Ann Donahue, the Loveland High School grad producing “CSI Miami” has a treat for show fans: Log onto www.CBS.com after the show, and catch a bonus scene with a dramatic twist that will impact the show this season.
In the scene, local news reporter Erika Sykes (Amy Laughlin) shares a crucial piece of information with Detective Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo) that will prompt an undercover investigation unfolding the rest of this season. It “contains a dramatic revelation about someone in our lab -- a revelation that threatens to tear the team apart and will lead to a shocking conclusion at the end of our season," Donahue says.
The streaming video will be available at 11 p.m., at the conclusion of the CBS broadcast (10 p.m., Ch 12). Bet Channel 12 loves that -- encouraging people to go to the web at 11 p.m., instead of watching Local 12 news at 11....
Saturday Night Local
Did you see “SNL” make fun of US Rep. Jean Schmidt’s “cowards” remark on the House floor Friday, during Saturday’s show? Pretty funny….
Around the dial
Just a reminder: Lalaine Froehle of Ludlow appears on “The Price is Right” today (11 a.m., Ch 12). She’s a customer service agent for Comair…
Oprah fans, this is your day: It’s time for “Oprah’s Favorite Things” (4 p.m., Ch 9).
Only two more “Prison Breaks” left, at 9 p.m. today and next Monday (Ch 19). Still no word on when it returns, since “24” takes over the time slot on Jan. 16. My guess is that Fox will bring it back for February sweeps, or in March. Can’t imagine they’ll make us wait until after “24” ends in May, the original plan…

I set a new record, eating 15 cheese coneys and a large three way from skyline last night. I downed it all with a couple large sweet teas. Skyline has the bet sweet tea in town.
That was the stupidiest extra video ever.
Wow! A bonus! But if it's so important, will "impact" the rest of the season so much, why did they put it on the web, as some sort of "addition," rather than incorporate it into the story that appeared on the television?
As other bloggers have noted, the story line last night was improbable "reefer madness" scaremongering about video games, stupid and ill-informed. The so-called bonus feature was the most egregious and frankly embarrassing example of product placement that I have ever seen - no wonder they put it on the web, it probably violated some sort of professional guidelines! It's bad enough to have the Hummer on the beach, for no particular reason serving as the backdrop to some banal conversation between the reporter and the CSI (and it's the reporter's Hummer BTW - I guess they needed some variety, since they ran through all the CSI Hummers in the show itself). It's even worst to end the segment by starting with a close-up of the logo on the back of the vehicle and then having it drive off the frame. Good grief!
I'm sure you're all very proud of Loveland High School grad Ann Donahue, but I think she's whoring her dignity with this tripe.
Good point Jon! A reporter driving a Hummer, get real people.
What did they reveal that we already didn't know? That there is a mole ... of yeah, we already knew that.
And another thing... last night's show was one of the worst storyline's yet. Way too many unlikely scenerios. What are the chances that those kids are able to get ahold of all that equiptment (guns, glasses with laser vision imprints, blueprints to the lab). Then what are the chances that they able to find the right setup in a bank, with the helicopter, and the CSI department. And wow, it was easy to get to that helicopter dropping off that money.
Did Eric ever figure out why his account was overdrawn? ... No wonder that reporter was driving a Hummer!
and one last thing. Anon 3:36, you are right, Skyline has great sweet tea.
