You watching Amazing Race?
Hey, folks: I'm looking for fans of "Amazing Race." Is this season more/less fun than previous races, by having 4 in family instead of 2-person teams? Are you enjoying it more or less? Are you enjoying having a local family on the show? Take a few minutes and drop me an email at jkiesewetter@enquirer.com. Use "Amazing Race" in subject line so I can find it quickly in my email. Also include your name, suburb/neighborhood, age and daytime phone. Thanks!
Josh Hutcherson goes big time
Nice piece today in USA Today on Josh Hutcherson, the 13-year-old kid from Union, Ky., starring in”Zathura.” Here’s a link: http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2005-11-01-hutcherson_x.htm.
And catch him on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at 12:05 tonight (Ch 9). Don’t be surprised if Letterman or Leno are next for him. He’s hot, hot, hot.
CBS comes to Ohio
Strange how network news works: CBS didn’t call to say that “48 Hours” was doing an hour last Saturday on Jim Barton, the Springboro police officer convincted in February of complicity to involuntary manslaughter in the 1995 murder of his wife in Warren County. But here comes a release saying that CBS’ “The Early Show” will begin a series called “Tour My Town” on Thursday (7-9 a.m., Ch 9) – the first day of sweeps – with Hannah Storm vising Greenville, Ohio, the hometown of Annie Oakley…
TV war is over
I'm not surprised to see that FX has canceled “Over There,” the Iraq war drama that ended its 13-episode run last week. Good drama, but I don't think the nation was ready for the subject matter while the death toll continues to mount. Also, producer Steven Bochco has moved on to a new gig, running ABC's new top 10 series "Commander in Chief."

That's what I really enjoyed about Over There. It was a great show and had very gripping drama. It's a shame that is was cancelled.
The fact that it hit close to home was good. It allowed those of us who aren't over there fighting to gain some understanding of what our soldiers go through.
I would hope that another network would pick it up, but that just won't happen. I truly believe FX is the new HBO for riveting dramas.
