"Lost" special, "Jim" pre-empted here
“Lost” viewers looking forward to the big recap show Wednesday will have to wait until 1:35 a.m. (late Wednesday/early Thursday) to see it on WCPO-TV (Ch. 9). Late last year, before ABC announced the “Lost: Revelations” special, Channel 9 sold the 8 p.m. hour to the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) for a program about modern day “Miracles.”
Says Sheila Obermeyer, station marking director and spokeswoman: “This was negotiated and booked months before the network placed its shows. We’re contractually committed to this. People will just have to set their VCRs.”
Channel 9 also pre-empts ABC 8-9 p.m. today for a St. Jude’s Hospital special. “According to Jim” and “Rodney” will air at 1:35 a.m. (late tonight/early Wednesday), after “Inside Edition.”
Reality check
Time Warner spokesman Rob Howard blames a “technical problem” for the delay in launching the Fox Reality channel. It was scheduled to start Dec. 31 on Channel 146. Howard told me Monday afternoon that it would be available “at the latest” by sometime today. When I checked this morning, Channel 146 was still blank.
Time Warner also is adding two free on demand channels: Sportskool (Channel 1224) and Exercise TV (Channel 1225), he says.
WAIF-FM tribute
Chris Comer replays his May 2000 interview with English guitarist Derek Bailey on WAIF-FM (88.3) today at 10 p.m. The experimental guitarist died on Christmas.

So when is Time Warner ever going to reach out and bold and add Logo or HereTV to the line-up? any idea?
Time Warner will never add decent programming around here because they are never honest with use here or anywhere. If they are having technical problems they should be honest and tell us and keep us the customers who pay the over inflated prices and keep us happy. example i would like to have UPN 38 WBQC full time but we will never see that happen. I Personaly would like to see a second cable company in town for competition against twcable
The fact that Chennel 9 can pre-empt prime time programming from some Christian infomercial is disgusting. If they are looking for converts, the CBN would be better off buying time on Sunday morning when the faithful are in church and the heathens are at home watching the tube.
WCPO sickens me.
I'm a Christian and I can't believe this. I want my lost!!!!!!
The man who said Prime Minister Sharon had a stroke because he divided the land of Israel?? The man who said the Pres. of Mexico should be "taken out"?? This is who you sold prime time to? It's a "miracle" the man has an audience.
hey i want to know if people are having Lost parties like me and my friends are.
DEATH TO TIMEWARNER CABLE
what happened to your daily blog john? and i guess time warner is still having technical problems
The Channel 9 pre-emption of "Lost" was the number one water-cooler controversy of the week. While I appreciate the blog, why isn't this a bigger story?
one of my dislikes of timewarner cable here in cincy is the LACK of network duplicates like we had back in 80's and during part of the 90's i mean we had 2 abc's and 2 cbs's etc but due to network duplication rules we lost all of them but we have so many pbs channels 48,54,14,16 and now including the digital lineups why cant they turn off some pbs and give us other things to watch
Pat Robertson and Lost....two words that go well together in a sentence.
