CW on Time Warner Now!
This just in... The new CinCW can be seen on Time Warner digital Channel 913. Right now!(as they'd say on Channel 19.)
The carriage started this afternoon, and will be there 24/7, says Pam McDonald, Cincinnati Time Warner vice president for public affairs.
If you have Time Warner -- but not digital level cable -- you can also see just the CW prime-time from 8-10 p.m. on TW basic Ch. 2, a
So here's the deal as I know it know on how to find WKRC-TV's digital-spectrum CinCW, or digital Channel 12.2, on Time Warner:
--On basic cable, CW prime-time only will air
--Starting Oct. 18, the CinCW will be seen 24/7 on Time Warner Ch. 20. It also remains on digital Ch. 913, McDonald says.
--On Oct. 18, Time Warner will drop low-power WBQC-TV, McDonald says. It has been carried for five hours a day (
Elliott Block, WBQC-TV (over-the-air Ch 38) owner and GM, says he'll talk to Time Warner about being added to the ditigal tier. TW had proposed that a year ago, he says, but he turned them down to keep his 5-hour window on basic cable. Now it's his best option. And he says it will end the confusion for people who would look for WBQC during the day on Time Warner, and find home shopping on Ch. 20 instead of his scheduled programming.
This is the second time he's been knocked off the air by the CinCW. DirecTV dropped him too, starting today.

What a boon for WKRC. Two prime channels. Kind of like what WHIO had for years, with the Miami Valley Cable Channel. Ad revenues galore.
Bet WCPO misses the CNN Headline cut-ins for promotion and sales.

I saw today that Michelle Boutillette from channel 12 is engaged? Anyone know to who? They acted like he was a local TV personality but I didn't catch a name.

They already have taken over, they just have not reordered the stations yet.
I personally feel bad for Block. This is another example of big business squeezing out the small business owner. The lost of DirecTV carriage is bigger than you might think at first glance. Not only was 38 on in Cincinnati DirecTV 24/7 but also in the Dayton market since Dayton didn't have a UPN station. I hope 12-2 flops miserably. Yes, we're headed toward the digital TV age, but there was no reason to build up a brand new station on a digital sub-station. I will program my favorite channels to skip CinCW. I'm in the northern suburbs, so I'm picking up 26 from Dayton.
I'm very surprised it too this long to get a carriage agreement, considering the corporate parent.
Calm down a little... if you don't like 12, don't watch it. Plain and simple.
Can you blame 12 for putting together a whole new station since they got CW? What would you have them do, award it to 5? CW was smart not to give it to 38.
Hello Mr. Kiesewetter,
I saw you on Northern Kentucky Magazine today and really enjoyed your views on the new shows. I agree about Survivor. I wasn't going to watch it but then curiousity got the best of me. I am now interested in seeing how everything will play out. I think there will only be a few weeks before a merge is held.
hey kiese was wondering your thoughts on studio 60. I loved the show.
jim o brien pulled a 8 rating tonight during weather. So those of you that say obrien cant pull above a 1 rating sorry to disappoint. Also news5 ratings have suddenly increased as soon as dave wagner came back to sub for the honeymooner's sean and sandra
WKRC has ruined their High Definition picture quality on CBS with the new CinCW.

I loved "Studio 60." Best new show of fall. Sorkin's writing was so great, you felt like you knew these characters for years. Matthew Perry impressed me too. But he's surrounded by a great cast.
Anyone know what channel the CW will be on in Oxford? We are kinda the inbetween twc lineup, we dont get any of the cincy 900 block channels, we do get the 700 dayton stuff. But we dont get daytons wb to see the new CW, and our channel 2 didnt play the primetime stuff tonite. Anyone know?
I am wondering how anonymous got instant ratings to determine that jim o'brien got an 8 rating on the same night of the broadcast. Don't those figures come in the following morning?
Personally, I feel bad for Jim - he should really get out of that place.
Be weary Kwhy it. I'm doo-wing da wetter.
I think 5 is looney toons. How many overnight resume reel edits are happening?
More changes in store for us with the CinCW. per WKRCs web site the CinCw will only be available on channel 20 effective October 18 cincw programming will be from 6am to 1am 7 days a week and it will no longer be available on TWCable digital 913
I live in Aberdeen, Ohio. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what channel the new CW is on for Adelphia?
