Watch Gary Burbank Do Earl Pitts

Did you see Michael Keating's video of Gary Burbank doing Earl Pitts? It's on our website, with my Burbank story today. I always found it fascinating to see Gary go from being Burbank to Pitts, or another character, in the blink of an eye. Here's the link to the video. Or you can go to, and search for Gary Burbank. We've also posted audio cuts from Gilbert Gnarley, Pitts and other characters on the web.

Watching Gary perform Earl Pitts is pure magic. I produced the show from 1996-2002 and cutting the Pitts commentaries was always the highlight of my week. All of his characters are fun, but he seems to be the most "in tune" with Earl. It's as if he is channeling someone else.

A style, and generation, of radio is ending on Friday. He will be sorely missed.
