Jeff Davis' New Radio Job
Since so many of you commented about the Jeff Davis firing three weeks by Cumulus (96 Rock/Supertalk, WARM98, greatest hits WGRR-FM), I wanted to pass along this update....
It's good news for a good guy, a radio geek who started at age 16 working for the old WCLU-AM (1320) in
At WDJO, Davis "may show up on the air occasionally, too but it's really a sales job. Time for me to see how that side of the business lives," he says.

You know, Jeff Davis is a stand up guy. So is Dusty Rhodes, Marty Thompson, Andy Furman, and the rest of the crew over there.
I wonder how long it will take before 1160 goes FM, and how long it will take for them to regain the elite status that they had over at their respective stations (ie. WGRR, WLW, etc).
I've listened to 1160, and they've got one heck of a station... it just needs to be FM.
