Blue Ash Company On SNL

Did you see the "TV Funhouse" cartoon on "Saturday Night Live" last weekend? The one about Barack Obama trying to keep Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton away from his presidential campaign?

In "The Obama Files" cartoon, the candidate gave Sharpton an "honorary collar" indicating he was a key member of the campaign team. It actually was a "Pet Stop" pet containment collar, which gave Sharpton electrical jolts to keep him away from Obama.

When I watched "SNL" Saturday, I didn't know that Pet Stop was owned by Perimeter Technologies of Blue Ash. You can clearly see the Pet Stop name on Sharpton's collar. "SNL" also referred to Bill Cunningham's remarks at the McCain rally during the "Weekend Update" newscast. So two local references in the same "SNL"....

Here's the cartoon:

John, not to change the topic, but perhaps you could have a blog entry on how Tracy and Eddie are doing on WLW in the afternoons.
I've given them an honest shot, I really have. But the show is just painful to listen to. I used to LOVE Tracy after baseball games. But the duo is really not meshing to make a good show. Wondering what some other opinions are?

C'mon Kiese. That's a real stretch at trying to connect a local company to a national mention. Even in a blog.

I'm with Anon 5:39 - pull the plug TODAY - it's long overdue

Anon 5:39,
If it's a blog about WLW, everybody complains about how awful it is.
If it's a blog about anything other than WLW, people pop in with questions about WLW anyway.

I'll tell you right now.
In their first "trend," Tracy and Eddie were #1 among male listeners in Cincinnati. They had a comfortable 2-share lead over KRC (#2 Men 18+)in afternoons.

You wonder what other opinions are? Go read the archived blogs with 200 comments about how terrible the #1 station in town is, and how Tracy is so awful. Then, look at the ratings again and see that more men are listening to them than any other station or show in town.
