Area woman up for Big Brother 7: All Stars

Did you see that Local “Big Brother 5” contestant Diane Henry wants to be an All-Star? Henry, best known for her “Big Brother5” romance with Miami University student Drew Daniel, was on CBS last night as one of the 20 former residents up for “Big Brother 7 All-Stars”
Viewers will select this year’s cast by voting at CBS.com through next Wednesday. Profiles of and videos from the 20 are posted at the site. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother7/
The 12 winners will be announced on the season premiere July 6.
On TV, Henry called herself tough and ruthless. “I was the best player in Big Brother 5, but I got wrapped up on some stupid boy. Being with him absolutely cost me the entire game. We all know I would have won.”
Her campaign message on the web site: “Ya’ll should vote me back in the house because there’s nothing like a hot chick fight.”
The 20 candidates include "Chicken" George, Bunky, "Boogie" (Mike), Cowboy Michael and his sister Nakomis.

“Lion” concludes
Don’t forget that PBS’ extraordinary “A Lion In The House” concludes today 9-11 p.m. on Ch. 48 and 16.

Channel 5 news
Channel 5 newsReporter Michael Moely from the Indianapolis Fox station starts Wednesday at WLWT-TV (Ch. 5). He takes the full-time slot created by the job sharing of weekend anchor Jonathan Hawgood and reporter Amy Wagner.

Need you help
Speaking of Channel 5, I need your help. I'm looking for comments about Channel 5's female co-anchor team, Saundra and Sheree. Do you watch them? Do you like them?
Here's the deal: Email your comments to me at jkiesewetter@enquirer.com. You must include your name, neighborhood/suburb and age. I'm not interested in anonymous remarks....

yeah, whats up with hawgood and wagner

did anyone see the report that amy wagner did about a safe driving program the other day? she said that she had only been driving for 13 years. so if you got your license at 16, she would be 29 years old? i figured her to be older than 29.

Two things that drive me crazy with Amy Wagner....her delivery and her Bobbie Bastista eyes.

Oh...and the obligatory 2-3 step walk towards the camera on every lead-in to a taped story.

Wait...that's every channel 5 stand-up.

yeah, has anyone else ever noticed that about News 5's live shots of stand-up reporters out in the field?

Especially when the reporter is live and getting ready to toss it back to the anchors, one of two things occur:

a)the reporter keeps 'stepping' back and forth/walking around instead of standing still
b) the camera is constantly moving back and forth

WHY DOES CHANNEL 5 DO THAT??? They have done that forever! I don't know if it is the reporter's fault or the photographer's fault!!

at 6/23/2006 1:23 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Or "management"'s fault

"sorry did i miss something? are jonathan and amy quitting?"

Nah. They wanted part-time schedules, so by putting them both part-time, it freed up a full-time slot.

Hey John, you spelled something wrong in your blog....

hey John its SANDRA Ali not Saundra

in regards to above comment concerning ch. 5 people going side-to-side, etc:

Definitely true. It made me think of something:

Does anyone remember Anne Marie Tiernon and how she was always bee-bopping around, from side-to-side? And how she was ALWAYS shuffling her papers? She couldn't sit still even when she was sitting at the anchordesk tossing it to Ken for sports!! Does anyone else remember Anne Marie doing this?

wkrc.com/biographies

at 6/24/2006 5:10 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

So what....I can name you 500 other stations across the country that do the same thing. So, having Video bios is nothing new. Sorry 12.

at 6/24/2006 7:54 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

sorry to the above commenter but no one else in the tri-state has them

at 6/24/2006 10:43 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

lets have the list. i have done a general search of alot of stations and 12 is the first ive seen that have the vid bios, so lets have your list of 500 stations you limpy

Your good friend John Gumm should remember this station, WCTI-TV in New Bern, NC, http://www.wcti12.com has video bios.

John Gumm, Tim, Michelle, Cammy and John Loxmax are the only ones worth dealing with at 12.

Beating your chest....WE ARE THE FIRST TO DO SOMETHING....almost as stupid as 9's promos everytime there is a breaking/news weather event. Or Steve Raleigh's fake tornados.

at 6/25/2006 2:45 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Um, "video bios?" All the trash talk about news content and how people walk "side to side" and you wanna pump up video BIOS? Who gives a sh*t!!!

How about more news....? Video about their on-air people? Wow. Amazing use of bandwidth. You make me laugh.

at 6/25/2006 5:39 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

I like the idea of the video bio it lets us the audience to know who what and why they chose Cincy to live and work here

at 6/25/2006 8:43 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Of course, you can read their bio more quickly than watch it. So what's the point?

at 6/26/2006 12:04 AM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Its nice to hear them say it

at 6/26/2006 7:07 AM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Still pointless, though. Waste of resources.

at 6/26/2006 7:06 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

It's nice to here them say it???? Yeah if you can't read!!!!!

at 6/26/2006 10:55 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

my grandmother who is visually impared and has to have most stuff read to her likes to hear these new vid bios in the persons own voice so eat s&^% and die Bozo

at 6/27/2006 6:57 AM Anonymous Anonymous said...

I call BS on that one, Bozo.

It's amazing to see how childish people are on this message board. I'm assuming from the comments that most of them are posted by people who work at the TV stations here in town. Grow up! Focus on making your work better instead of tearing down someone else because they have something you want.

does sandra ali wear black pants everyday? it seems like she always has black pants on. that's a lot of black pants. i wonder what her dry cleaning bill is every week?

at 6/27/2006 12:16 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Ask Shawn

at 6/28/2006 11:55 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

why is john always posting stories about 5. Oh wait a minute now I know there newsteam changes every week. This is a reason 5 has lagged behind in the ratings. Because of anchor stability.

i quit watching eyewitnessnewschannelcincinnati5 a couple of years ago some of their "on air talent" made a few mistakes one was an accident at Erie Ave. and Observatory Ave. in Hyde Park which is impossible because erie and observatory run parallel to each other the wreck was at dana and observatory and then comes the infamous Amy Wagner with the cincy fire department brownouts where she said the brownouts were going to close some of the cities 40 fire houses when in truth the city of cincinnati has 26 firehouses i mean if they are new to the city and they are going to report this stuff and double check what they are saying is correct

at 6/29/2006 10:19 AM Anonymous Anonymous said...

wardrobe update for sandra ali -- tuesday - black pants, wednesday - black pants, thursday - I'm guessing black pants. sheree may fumble her lines, but at least she has a color variety

at 7/03/2006 1:51 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

hey, the last poster was right! sandra ali wore black pants the whole week and a different color top outfit. so i guess she has at least 5 pairs of black pants.

at 7/06/2006 9:37 AM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Um, she's an anchor. 99% of the time, they sit behind a desk. She could be wearing NO pants for that matter. Who gives a third of a rat's funky turd what color pants she's wearing? You infantile buttmunchers. Now get back to your video games and eat some more Munchies.

Thanks to the local media in the area we didn't get to see all of Big Brother on July 11th. It's the only area that interupts programing for hours at a time. Even during 9/11 some stations across the country didn't interupt the station for 2 hours.

at 7/12/2006 9:39 AM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Gee. Sorry you missed out on "Big Brother." You're right - making sure people were aware of a potentially deadly storm in their area isn't NEARLY as important.

You aren't the only jackass to post something like this on these blogs. I think it's a SAD commentary on the state of the public when Big Brother is more important than tornadoes ripping through the tri-state. Just keep watching TV, little sheep. It'll all be over soon.

at 7/16/2006 7:31 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

the people complaining about shows being disrupted by the storm coverage would now be complaining that they weren't informed of the bad weather and that the homes were damaged or destroyed by the weather and they would want the tv stations held responsible

at 7/19/2006 3:52 PM Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why would WLW radio choose Channel 5?Their ratings are worse than the other stations in town and they seem to be struggling. Has there been any information on the real reason they chose 5 over 12?
