Sheila Gray returns Wednesday

She's back! Sheila Gray returns to the "Fox 19 Morning News" Wednesday (5-9 a.m., Ch 19) after a 3-1/2 week absence for unexplained medical reasons. I just spoke to her, and she sounds pumped.
"I can’t wait to get back. It’s been driving me crazy not being there," says Gray, who has co-anhcored the Ch 19 morning show since 1999. Her doctor cleared her today to return to work tomorrow.
Gray has been touched by all the e-mails and cards from viewers. "It's nice to know that people just don't take you for granted being there every morning. It's nice to know so many people cared. It's a blessing."
But don't expect her to talk about her health -- just yet. “I’ll explain it to viewers at some point, but I’m just not ready,” she says.
Filling in for her on Monday and Tuesady was former Ch. 5 anchor Caroline Thau from Indianapolis. She had subbed last year during Tricia Macke’s maternity leave. For most of the month, former Ch 64 anchor Kim Moening -- who had previously worked at Ch 19 -- sat in for Gray.
