More Radio Changes

The new Big D and Bubba morning team makes its debut on Opening Day on country WOLF 97.3 (WYGY-FM), but don't expect to see them in the Opening Day parade with other radio personalities. Big D and Bubba are syndicated from Nashville. (They do afternoons on WSIX-FM in Nashville).

They replace Ken & Kitty, who haven't been on the air this week. Their website says that Bonneville didn't renew their contract. Jesse Tack returns to afternoons on Monday, when the new guys start.

Marty Thompson, PD for Bonneville's WUBE-FM (B105.1) and WOLF, says Big D and Bubba promise lots of local content -- six segments an hour.

So listen next week and tell me what you think of Big D and Bubba... Or tell me if you miss Ken & Kitty?
And what does anyone think of Tim & Jeff, the new morning guys on KISS107.1? They just came here from an Arkansas station...

What happened to Valentine in the morning? I love to flip in the morning and I would sometimes listen to Valentine who was not the best but was certainly better than "Jeff and Whoever".

Thank God, I absolutely could not freaking stand Ken & Kitty!!

Tim & Jeff are horrific. Though because they only put "girls" on the air and never "boys" as Kiss's new PD put it they got the gig. Kiss also dropped the "FM" and is now simply Kiss 107, would like to hear the explanation of that after years of branding as KissFM.

Could Cincinnati be any more of a radio wasteland? On the FM side in the mornings, its just belly laughs. How about married with microphones? OH Please. How about speed loud talking Jim Scott never saying hello or good bye to the person he is interviewing? No where on the dial is there any in depth news. Just rip and read on 700. In depth team coverage is nothing more than two people reading stories. Goofy!! Then you have WARM 98, which once was pretty good with its music, now is sounding like a duplicate of 94.1. Do these programming people around the dial think we are nuts or what?

WHO'S LEAVING ?????

The Clear Channel website has posted a "job opening" for a Talk Show Host in Cincinnati, for a fast-paced morning show. Knowledge of sports is a must.

Makes you wonder who might be next in line for the "chopping block" or "retirement".

97.3 is no longer my number one station since Ken and Kitty are gone. The new guys are boring with the rest of the morning shows and I'm highly disappointed with Bonneville's choice not to keep Ken and Kitty and they lost a loyal listener by getting rid of Ken and Kitty.

Bring Ken & Kitty back !!!!!! These new guys SUCK!! I will be finding a new morning station if they don't come back. They are the best!

I HATE THE NEW MORNING SHOW! Big D and Bubba..give me a break! Give me Ken & Kitty back!!!!! I laughed every morning with them, I haven't laughed all week without them. If it does not happen soon, they will loss another loyal listener.

Ken and Kitty were the only reason we went to The Wolf. I'd rather listen to rap at 6 am than these new idiots!! You lost the best thing you ever had!!!!!!!!!

Valentine & Bwoods really cracked me up every morning on Kiss. I can't even listen to Tim & Jeff long enough to see if they will crack a joke, let alone if it will make me laugh. Valentine had so many different aspects to his show like phonetap, b true hollywood story, and different celebrity guests. I just can't see Tim & Jeff bringing anything similar to the show. I don't know, I guess we will see...

I LOVE KEN AND KITTY!!! I really miss them and I don't really care for the new guys but you can't hate them because it's not there fault. Bonneville should bring back Ken and Kitty, I don't even listen to 97.3 anymore. I also miss Valentine in the morning. I was so sad when I got in my care the other day and both my favorite morning shows were gone. What's ging on?

Ken and Kitty set "The Wolf" apart from all the other morning shows. I miss them and the new dj's are boring!!! I'm searching for another station to wake me up in the morning!!

The new 97.3 is weak and whiney. I can't listen, as I will cause an accident when I fall asleep. I am not even a real country music fan. Ken & Kitty just had great banter - I went into work laughing. I listen to the Christian music station 93.3 now, and pray for K&K's return to some local station that can appreciate their morning wake-up humor.

I miss Ken & Kitty.

Who wants to talk about animal taxes or taxes of any kind, first thing in the morning. That's what AM radio is for.

This listener is tuning out.

Big D & Bubba, give me a break. These two are horrible and they are not even on the air from here. How could they possibly realte to Cincinnati fans.
Ken and Kitty were great. They were very entertaining and made getting up in the morning at least bearable. Someone in Cincinnati needs to hire them. They have an instant fan base, if hired. I have switched to Bob and Tom until Ken and Kitty come back.

I hate the new morning show without Ken and Kitty. I no longer listen to 97.3. Why did they take away the best 2 people on the morning show. Sorry but you have lost another listener not to mention my co-workers who feel the same as I. Bring Ken and Kitty back and I will listen again.

The new morning show on 97.3 sucks! I will not be listening unless they bring back Ken and Kitty. They were the best and where ever they go is where I will be. What a horrible mistake to get rid of them. I have a very boring ride into work since Ken and Kitty are gone!! Bring Ken and Kitty back, please!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think these new people in management know what the heck, they are doing! Ken and Kitty were the best DJ's on the radio, they had a HUGE following, and THEY are what made The Wolf stand out in a market where every station looked the same! Why on earth would we want to listen to some lame syndicated show, when we had two people on our radio every single morning who lived here, who knew our people, who loved our neighborhoods, and lived what we did? Ken and Kitty were what made The Wolf, the wolf....they were funny, they were straight forward, they were real, and they made every person who called them feel like a friend. The wolf will NEVER be the same in my eyes or the eyes of thousands of other Ken and Kitty fans unless and until they are back. And, I know a lot of people who will readily boycott the station, sign petitions and anything else we need to do to see that "our friends" and the leaders of the wolf pack, regain their rightful place on our radio dial. I truly hope that someone sees the outrage that so many of us feel, and does the right thing to make right this situation. And, for any Ken and Kitty fans that read this...let's band together and take back our radio station. Please feel free to find me on myspace at www.myspace.com/redhotcowgirl

Friends and Neighbors I was born and raised In Cincinnati. We love our local heroes. Never try to force feed a conservative town with boring entertainment from some place we could care less about! This is our town, and we want our Ken and Kitty Back! I rather listen to CD's than turn on the radio and listen to a boring program. 97.3 has commercials with more humor in them than the New DJ'S! Ken and Kitty your the best, hands down! Ken and Kitty, We liked it, we loved it, and we want more of it!!

No Ken and Kitty -NO LISTENER!!!!!!!! I don't like the new guys in the am... I NEVER liked a morning show until I found Ken and Kitty. I suddenly understood why people liked "morning shows' on the radio. I went into work every morning with a smile. Even better, on the days I didn't work, I could catch them at night. My partner is a loyal XM fan, and even she was turning them on at night in the car... You lost the best thing you ever had and a listener to boot.

BRING KEN AND KITTY BACK!!!!!!!!

no more Ken & Kitty no more wolf!

I have quite listening to 97.3 The Wolf altogether. Managment at this station are a bunch of morons to take Ken and Kitty off the air and replace them with a couple of DJ's from TN that are about as exciting as watching cars rust.

The only reason that I switched to The Wolf was so that I could hear Ken and Kitty. I even went out and bought a new radio so that I could pick up the weaker signal of the new station. I have tried to listen to the new show. It is just too dry. Who wants to listen to someone in another state? At times I thought they were talk radio. We need something to wake us up in the morning and start our day off on a bright note. I have removed The Wolf and any other station owned by this company from my preset radio buttons. Any station that brings Ken and Kitty back to the Tri-State would be assured to have my support.. even if I have to switch music genres to hear them.

There are so few Country Stations that Bonneville do not have their hands in. They are the ones responsible for taking Ken & Kitty off the air. I personally have called all the other stations not affillated with Bonneville & begged them to hire Ken & Kitty. I suggest you all do the same. K99.1 & 105.9 the Rebel are our only hope. Mornings with out Ken & Kitty stink. Please Help Save Them!!!

I want Ken and Kitty back... and the whole local Cincinnati Tri-State area connection. (I don't live in Nashville.) I will be dropping 97.3 from my presets on the radio soon.

I have dropped 97.3 from my radio dial and listen to my ipod now on my way into work. I never liked nationally syndicated shows as they lack the local attitude. I would like to know if the radio station conducted any listener preferences research before letting Ken and Kitty go. Do these execs know the market of Cincinnati radio? Do they really understand their target audience? After all, it is a business, and the idea is to make money. I would be surprised if 97.3 lasts much longer after all the Ken and Kitty fans stops listening.

BRING KEN AND KITTY BACK!!! I willnot listen to 97.3 anymore. I miss the local content and the controversy.

please, PLEASE, bring back Ken and Kitty in the morning! Hey radio management - wondering why the Wolf fell off 50% in ratings? Call Ken, he'll tell you.
BRING BACK KEN AND KITTY!

Let's see...Ken and Kitty moved...then they moved again...now they are gone?! Why on Earth does 97.3 think they can survive with all these changes. I haven't listened to 97.3 since Ken and Kitty were canned. Thank heavens I can get 105.9 the Rebel out of Middletown. Great music, great DJ's...Bring Ken and Kitty Back!!!

Bring Ken and Kitty back. They were the only reason that I listened to the WOLF 97.3. Very funny morning show. I miss them, Please bring them back.

Well it appears that the Wolf is not listening to our pleas. They don't understand that we are only trying to help them as much as ourselves. They bring back Ken & Kitty & their radio station stays alive if not they are nothing but dead air.
Hey Cincinnati stations pick up the ball here. There is major talent dying to stay here in the tri-state how often does that happen???? WE NEED KEN & KITTY!!!

What is Cincinnati coming to?! The only reason I listened to the radio in the morning was to hear what Ken and Kitty talked about next! I have to be to work at 7 in the morning, and they definitely had no problems keeping me awake. It's truly sad that this city is losing such great talent. No more Ken and Kitty? No more radio for me... looks like I'll be listening to CD's.

All Fans of Ken and Kitty. Mr Marty Thompson could care less what you think. He is out of the country for 5 weeks. I am asking all loyal fans of Ken and Kitty to post banners flag bumper sticker Notes anything that can be seen on your car.

Just say no to Big D and 97.3

Someone can afford to leave the country for 5 weeks is getting over paid. And the companies who are spending their advertising money at 97.3 are getting ripped off . Because no one is listening to 97.3

I never thought I would like The Star without Mike and Dana, was really mad when they were let go....but a little time (and the wise ass remarks from Ken) I began to enjoy listening to them. I was outside in line to see a concert (one of the free ones at Jillian's) and both Ken and Kitty came out and joked with the crowd. I absolutely love them, and Bonneville is a complete moron for letting the best morning duo in cincinnati history go. BRING BACK KEN AND KITTY
