Take A NPR Road Trip
If you're a loyal National Public Radio listener, here's a very cool feature on NPR's website that provides MapQuest-like driving instructions and the NPR affiliates to tune in while you're driving to anywhere. It's called NPR Road Trip at http://www.npr.org/stations/
I put in a friend's address in Memphis, and got an 18-step driving instructions to his front door, with estimated mileage for each segment, and the call letters and frequencies for 14 NPR stations between here and there.
The site also offers a station finder by ZIP code. So you can put in the ZIP code for your vacation destination -- or any place along the way -- and it gives you the "strong," "medium" and "weak" signals available, call letters, frequencies and their websites.
What a great service!
