DISH Steps To The Plate For NHL HD

Good news for hockey fans: The DISH Network has added NHL Network HD as Channel 403. That gives DISH 75 high-definition channels (compared to 25 HD channels for Time Warner here, with the addition Thursday of A&E and History Channel).

Subscribers to DISH's America’s Top 100 package (or above) with DISH HD receive the NHL Network HD free on Channel 403. NHL Network HD is also available to NHL Center Ice subscribers on Channel 559.

The DISH release says DISH HD is available free for six months to new customers, and new DISH Network subscribers may also receive a free upgrade to get HD DVR receivers. Through Jan. 31, 2008, both current and new qualifying DISH Network HD customers may also enjoy up to $800 of instant savings on a variety of Sharp's most popular line of flat-panel HDTVs.

Any word if TW is getting the NHL Network in Cincinnati since it was mentioned that TW nationally would be getting the service?
