Nick Clooney Back on the Air
All kinds of notes today, as I finally catch my breath after the Rich Apuzzo firing Monday and the revivial of www.woxy.com on Tuesday….
Clooney’s Moments
The AmericanLife TV network repeats Nick Clooney’s two "Moments That Changed Us" tonight to promote his third "Moments" special about John Glenn coming Sunday.
Clooney’s interview with Walter Cronkite, about him questioning the Vietnam War in 1968, airs at

--Jerry Springer’s humorous samba wound up tied for last in judges’ voting last night (with singer Sara Evans) on "Dancing with the Stars," with 24 of 30 points. Will he finally be sent home tonight? I think he could...
--Tina Fey's "30 Rock" premiere today (8 p.m., Ch 5). The former "SNL" star plays the producer of a live TV comedy show, working for a new network boss (Alec Baldwin). In the pilot, Baldwin orders her to hire a talented comic (Tracy Morgan) who had a Martin Lawrence-like meltdown. I thought the show was awful -- not funny and not believeable. I'm curious what you think, if you watch tonight.

Yes, WBQC gone from Comcast in Lawrenceburg & SE Indiana. Comcast also picking up CW from Indianapolis, instead of Channel 12's new digital CinCW.
So could Ch. 12 be the great innovator pushing forward with a new digital spectrum station - or be the great fool for the efforts needed to convince systems to carry it? What does everyone think?
I think Jerry is in for the duration, and Sara may last another week. Since Mario has an attitude, I think he will go tonight....
Ch.12 is neither fool nor innovator - simply following the industry. All the broadcast stations have the capablity for multiple stations. Ch.5 has 24hr weather with WeatherPlus. Ch.19 has 24hr music videos with THE TUBE. Ch.12 now has THE CW.
sarah needs to GO! she barely moved last night and looked like she was going to be executed despite the "smile" frozen on her face. the judges were just playing nice with her for a change. (and that dress was *hideous*--again!)
jerry is good for another week at least. he IS entertaining and his charm is working. he comes across as a real person and doesn't look like the smarm-meister that most of the US has come to know him as from his show. and he IS working hard at the dances and trying to make it look easy. fun fun fun.
i worry for monique, sensing that as great as she is, her fan base is probably not out there hitting the phones the way other contestants' fans are. she is classy though and a pleasure to watch each week.
CinCW is a no lose proposition for WKRC. It probably costs almost nothing relatively speaking to add the station to thier broadcast. Plus in another 5-10 years, everyone will have digital tv's.
Well, according to tonight's Jericho, we got nuked--but it was at least two years ago.
The Jericho bar had a briefly functioning TV, and the TV footage showed people running. In the background was a statue with its arms outstretched, next to a building with a lot of windows. It was clearly Fountain Square and the Fifth-Third Building, but the footage was of the Genius of Waters where she had been before she was moved to the Art Museum.
John, you are so right. 30 Rock blows. What an unfunny so-called comedy. It was especially awful since we watched it right after the much superior Studio 60 that we had TiVo'ed Monday night. To be honest, I quit watching SNL years ago and so never saw Tina Fey on it. But if this is the best she can do, she's going to be begging Lorne Michaels for her job back.
I generally adore Tina Fey, but 30 Rock was terribly disappointing. It was bad enough when Alec Baldwin sucked all the funny out of the room whenever he showed up, but when Jane Krakowski threw the cat against the wall I just changed the channel.
Whew! Glad to see someone agrees with me on "30 Rock." Have seen so many promos and stories callin it the best new fall comedy. I know it's a weak year for sitcoms, but I was puzzled why some TV critics thought "30 Rock" was so great. Did anyone like "30 Rock?"
30 Rock was definitely "must avoid TV." What a disappointment after all the hype....
Thank you, 0/11/2006 8:30 PM skippercollector. Didn't watch "Jericho" last night, but trying to get a dub from CBS. Anyone with any more details about scenes of Cincinnati being nuked last night, fill me in.
Since Sara Evans is quitting Dancing with the Stars due to her maritial crisis, will they ask Willa and Max to come back?
