Dan Patrick's New Gig
This sure didn't take long: Dan Patrick, the Mason High School grad who announced Monday he was quitting ESPN, says he will resume doing his radio "Big Show" for The Content Factory. Several sources are reporting that he will do syndicated radio and TV for that company with Jimmy deCastro, who sold his AMFM stations to Clear Channel in 1999.
MSNBC reports that The Content Factory will take the "Big Show" brand "to broader audiences in the innovative ways they receive their information -- via radio, television, internet, podcasts, infopods, mobil devices and beyond." It also says

In Boston Globe interview, Patrick says he told ESPN bosses last winter he wanted to leave but they asked him to stay through the NBA Finals. He also talks about how he never considered auditioning for "The Price Is Right," that he might do ESPN TV stuff in the future.
