Hatcher's Fate Tonight On "America's Got Talent"

We'll find out tonight if Westwood singer Robert V. Hatcher advances to the live shows on NBC's "America's Got Talent" (9-10 p.m., Ch. 5, 2). My guess is that he makes it. In May, after tonight's show had been taped in Las Vegas, host Jerry Springer said that the Cincinnati MSD night dispatcher "is actually going pretty far" in the competition.

Hatcher made it to the Hollywood round on "American Idol" in Feburary, but we didn't see him sing much. We've seen only a little of him singing on NBC (about 10 seconds last night), but he's been featured a lot in the promos and video. (He's the African-American man in the white tux with black trim.) Last night we saw him saying, "I'm about to pass out.... This is my life. Singing is my life."

The Top 20 acts are announced tonight. Live shows with viewer voting start Tuesday 8-9:30 p.m.

I still don't understand why this is the No. 1 show this summer.....

It's amazing to see how determined this young talented man is. I remember when Fox showed him on the news and he sang so well. I hope he makes it to the top 20 on this show. And why are they only showing the horrible bad acts? And some people are being shown three to four times, whats that about? Have they already decided who the winner is?
