what's up with channel 5 cropping conan o'brien lately? They used to show the show in letterbox format, now they're zooming in on it. It's cutting off words on the left and right sides of the screen and is very annoying.

John,

Jericho made its triumphant return, in the not so great time slot of last Friday at 9pm and will play there throughout the summer. Any word on the ratings for that first re-airing of the series premiere?

Also, why did NBC decide to quit airing Friday Night Lights this summer? They began the summer airing on Sunday's, but it went away. I was trying to catch up on what I had missed, but will now have to settle for finding time on my computer as opposed to TIVO.

Are the TV stations around here simply out of control with "Breaking News"?

How is a scheduled court appearance breaking news? Why not just call sunrise and sunset breaking news each day?

We have confirmed the sun is down, but our sources tell us its expected to return sometime tomorrow morning.

Off-topic...

Over the weekend either WCPO or WKRC reported the the Son of Beast reopening at Kings Island as "Breaking News". The other station (I can't remember which) reported the NASCAR driver arrested at Kings Island as "Breaking News"!

I now watch about 90% less television news now compared to a few years ago.
